Why Project Based Learning?
Students gain a deeper understanding of the concepts and standards at the heart of a project. Projects also build vital skills and lifelong habits for learning such as time management, organization, and communication skills. Furthermore, project based learning: creates a need to know essential subject area content and skills, requires inquiry to learn and/or create something new, requires critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and communication, allows student voice and choice, incorporates feedback and revision, and results in a publicly presented product or performance.
